Exam Proctor Information
Engineering Distance Education students are required to submit a Proctor Form to indicate their choice of a testing proctor. It is your responsibility to find and schedule a testing proctor; costs associated with exam proctoring are the responsibility of the student.
Testing proctors must be verified and approved by the Division of Engineering Student Services and Advising (DESSA) a minimum of 72 hours before the exam date. Delays in receiving this information could result in the suspension of taking exams by proctor.
The course instructor is the final authority on requirements for secure testing.
You can find a list of alternate proctoring sites on the National College Testing Association (NCTA) website. The following are also possible exam proctors contingent on approval.
- Local University or College Testing Center
- Faculty and Administrative Staff at College and Universities
- Corporate Training Officer or Manager
- Military Base (Education Officer or Commander).
Your instructor will determine the date, time and time frame in which the exam is released to your testing proctor and the deadline you have for completion.
Students will receive an email notification (with exam instructions) when the exam has been sent to their testing proctor.
