Allette
Michail Allette, Electrical Engineering Major

Interned with Lockheed Martin, an American global aerospace, defense, security and advanced technologies company with worldwide interests.

Position: Systems Engineering Intern

Experience: Worked with a software development team for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter,developing the Tactical Environment Simulation (TES) Web Editor software for Pilot Training using Linux OS, HTML, SQL, Java, git version control. Debugged problems and made sure software engineer’s programs met standard system requirements.


Andrew
Jamie Andrew, Computer Science Major

Interned with Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions a leading provider that uses Big Data, proprietary linking and targeted solutions to provide insights that help make organizations more secure and efficient.

Position: Software Engineer Intern

Responsibilities: Site Leader for Lexis Nexis Park of Commerce interns. Responsible for four other interns, data land development team training, modifying services, and organizing events.


Duran
Giannina Duran, Electrical Engineering Major

Interned with Canon Solutions America, a Japanese multinational corporation specializing in the manufacture of imaging and optical products, including cameras, camcorders, photocopiers, steppers, computer printers and medical equipment.

Position: Electrical Engineering Intern

Experience: Worked on new prototypes for Canon that identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical defects found in printheads.


Shorten
Connor Shorten, Computer Science Major

Interned with Lemonaid Health in San Francisco, CA a company that is leading a second wave of telehealth where technology algorithms power quality care. Lemonaid leverages evidence-based guidelines and the most up-to-date clinical protocols to offer a service direct to consumers for less than typical co-pays.

Position: Software Engineer Intern

Responsibilities: Work was heavily focused on using google maps, APIs, and speeding up spatial searches. Also developed and implemented a K-means clustering algorithm to optimize 2-dimensional geospatial searches, and used the MEAN stack to build web applications, as well as Python scripting to test algorithms and prepare data for Machine Learning models such as converting XML boundary coordinates to JSON data.
